Oracle OpenWorld 2006 in San Francisco

July 25th, 2006 by The Oracle Alchemist

It looks like we’re all set for OpenWorld 2006! Burleson Oracle Consulting and Training, has FOUR Oracle gurus invited to OpenWorld as speakers.

This promises to be a great conference for the Oracle Community. Look forward to seeing you there!

    Hello,

Just wondering are you using the built in Application Express Javascript and AJAX stack or a seperate library?

    Carl,

I’m something of a purist when it comes to Oracle products, so I will be showing the built-in ApEx Javascript. If time permits I may incorporate the Yahoo UI Tools for a flashier presentation, but if I get too far outside the built-in components it could get more confusing for beginners.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I know you pioneered the use of AJAX on Application Express; your examples and support on the ApEx forum are outstanding. Thank you very much for posting on my blog.

    Hello,

Actually your comments about confusing the beginner were one of the reasons I asked. Plus i was just curious. I’m glad you used the built in stuff :)

Just wait till you see what we have in the future hopefully it will allow for more of the flashiness as you say plus much easier usage for both beginner and advanced developers.

Have good time at OW and good luck.

    Regards,
    Carl
